4. Searching the Dragon
‘Draaksteken’ is an open-air theatre show, performed once every seven years by the residents of the village Beesel. The next Draaksteken show will take place in the summer of 2023. In the mean time there is plenty to discover about the ‘Draaksteken’. The village Beesel lives and breathes the story of Saint George and the Dragon. Visitors are welcomed by the dragon at the roundabout outside the village. You can take a walk through the centre of the village, past some important places in the history of Draaksteken. 6. Castle community Brüggen
Beesel maintains a good relationship with the near by German village of Brüggen. Its castle, watermill and traditional architecture add to the special charm of this village.
